Victory conditions...confusing terminology

Post by Ryben »

I find a bit confusing to keep track of the victory conditions in a scenario, mainly because they are something like "Capture all objetives with at least X turns remaining".

X turns remaining? that means i have to keep track of the total turn limit, make a substraction and keep tracking of my current turn. :?

Wouldn´t be easier to simply state "Capture all objetives in X turns" o "capture all objetives before turn X"? This way i know exactly how many time i have to capture the objetives, now is quite easy to slip one or two turns if you are not aware of the remaining turns to achieve victory conditions.

This has been discussed elsewhere, too. I think the reasoning is that the difficulty levels change the actual turns available in a scenario, so that means '5 turns before the end' may vary from game to game.

But, if you use the 'turns' cheat code, to try and direct your campaign in the direction that you want the scenarios to go, changing to a 'specific' turn number would take away that option...
