Is it possible to play a game in hotseat mode?

If so, is it via the game server or can it be done locally? And are there any settings that need to be changed in configuration files, similar to the way it's handled in Battlefield Academy?

Yep, very ist screen when you launch a scenario gives option to play side a, b or hotseat, no servers required
