Game Enhancements - DAG

Post by Old_Warrior »

DAG needs:

1. When building an army it would be nice to have a BACK button to go back to the army list for that module instead of having to pick the module all over again.

2. A Delete army button. Some folks are not computer savvy. This is a must. Please add this.

These two buttons would speed up the DAG process and also allow for the older armies I do not use to be EASILY deleted without having to find them in a folder view. Either that or have a "Manage Armies" option which would be a dialog where all of your armies are listed. Have an "Edit" "Delete" "Copy" option in this dialog. For speed have check boxes by the armies and group commands you can give once all boxes are checked. Thus you could Delete more than one army at a time. Edit and Copy would be greyed out so that you could not use these options (as obviously you cannot edit more than one army a time).

Agreee with those, also the actual varient of the DAG army should be displayed in all phases of the game. For example, it is annoying when you are facing a "Persian" army (either in game or when you see a challenge issued/accepted) Ok persian, but a, b, c, etc ??

Yes, Greek vs. Greek but one of them is the Alexandrian Macedonian army. Not exactly 100 percent Greek! LOL

I also wish that the Scenario Editor could allow you to use the DAG list.

On a similar theme.... it would be great if the opposing army name is displayed on the screen presented where you have to select your army having accepted a challenge. For example, I recently accepted 2 games from StockwellPete that were mirror games as part of a paired competition (NAFF 2011). However, when I wen't to choose my army to match the accepted games all I saw was 2 games versus StockwellPete and I couldn't tell which was the Parthians and which was the Numidians, so I was forced to guess..... needless to say I got it wrong and created a Numidian civil war, which meant we had to resign that game and then create another match!

Displaying your army name in a challenge is a setting when issuing a challenge, the default is to hide your army name from your opponent. Keith

I think you misunderstand, for example: If i build a Pesian D list , even when im in the purchase screen it doesnt read Persian D anywhere but simply Persian. If i issue a challenge with that army NOT hidden, my opponent will see the challenge as Persian not Persian D so he wont know if he is facing the a c or f versions... To go on, even when in game playing , the header of the two armies on the top of the screen still doesnt tell you the exact sublist....
