Another Release Date Delay?
The Slitherine site indicates a July 15th release date for this. Is that still the case, or has it been pushed back? I only ask because with Beta testing not yet started it seems like a tight timeline, and a pending release of this game may impact whether or not I go for Panzer Corps on release.
We are the same team working on both games, Panzer Corps is reaching it`s final stage of development so take your pick.
CTGW is in Alpha testing and I hope we can go into real Beta very soon, we are a small team so dividing our attention between two games is hard, but PzC is almost done and than it is CTGW in full gear!
Cheers,
Tim aka LZ

It will be done when it is done. The game was just announced way too soon, a mistake we have learned from.
The main reason for the delay: we decided to finish Panzer Corps first, however Panzer Corps is finished form our side, so we are now in full gear finishing CTGW.
In 3 weeks time we start public Beta, we are currently finishing the Alpha internal test phase.
I quote myself here about Panzer Corps as the same counts for CTGW or any game we will ever do, as we hate unfinished and buggy releases ourselves.
Cheers,
Tim aka LZ

Hi guys, the main reason we postpone a game is:
We are not happy enough with the game, or decide to add more cool features, or to make sure the game is rock solid and contains as few bugs as possible, or to add more polish, or listen to feedback and do some changes or add new ideas based on Beta testing!
So upon release it is the best game we can deliver at that point in time. We are now confident you will than enjoy it and get some quality for you hard earned money.
You had to wait maybe longer than initially planned and we understand this is unfortunate and for some annoying, therefore our apologies, but it was for the good of the game and that is what counts in the end!
Cheers,
Tim aka LZ

I am glad to see that WW1 is getting attention. I have been watching this title for awhile, I may just have to grab Commander WIE to get a taste for things. For the WW1 fans out there I can recommend Guns of August, a somewhat abstracted game that takes a little getting used to but it is fantastic for people that really enjoy a board type strategy game. Really takes a lot of thought to get the offensives moving. I also have WW1 gold but haven't had the time to give it a go.

This is by far my most anticipated game of the year. I love the CEAW Grand Strategy, which I only recently discovered, and have been playing that to death over the past two weeks, so I can barely wait to take to the trenches and slug it out in the Great War. I'm also *very* excited about the impending release of Panzer Korps, and that has become a must buy. A great year for gaming I would have to say!

Sweeeeeet! Gotta say the variety of World War 1 games is very slim. I think there is maybe 2 or 3 i know of. And i currently own Frank Hunters Guns of August. I've been looking forward to another point and click style game, you guys offer. Oh hey, the new engine & setup for the game is it like the same engine for Panzer Corps? We're going to reopen beta registration soon, now that our attention has shifted back to CTGW from PzC. Stay tuned!
Q4 2011, we need a month or three to finish the game into a solid cool game.

A 'quality' WWI strategy game is much needed but Panzer Corps will keep me more than busy in the meantime.
................. I'll buy it for you for Xmas and you can buy for me for Xmas
