Bows Not Firing

I've just started my Companions Cup game versus Davouthojo and a fair few of my LF Bows are not firing... and it isn't wet strings because it's a desert :wink: In my 1st move there are 3 examples, which is a significant number to be more than a slight pain... especially since I've picked a missile heavy army to fight with. I can't afford for 5-10% of my troops not to be able to attack.

It looks to me that they had the option of double moves (the only hexes left have light shading) and since only 2 or less hexes are left it means that you did a double move with them thus denying your opportunity to shoot. Sometimes when clicking something to move I do the same and use a double move to reach a hex I could of got to with a basic move using some redundant hex to get there or moving back and forth before starting to move. It is one of the woes of controlling lots of lights.

I think you are right. I know that in the 1st case I moved to the desired square without a double move, but accidentally moved it out (th unit was still active when I clicked somewhere else) and then had to move it back. So I used more than normal moves to get where I should have been.

The other 2 are moves that were 5 hexes instead of the normal 4.

I must admit, I thought that double moves were designed so that they couldn't bring a unit into combat range.... maybe I'm wrong in that respect.

I'll have to be more careful from now on.
