Mini Map Colors

Post by Xerkis »

Is there a way to change the colors in the mini map? I am having a hard time telling what is green and what is gray.

Last night I left an objective city in the hands of the enemy even though I thought it was in my control – simply because they all look gray to me. Something like red and blue that would be much more distinctive to tell the units apart.

If the colors can’t be changed, any suggestion on how to not let last night’s mistake of mine happen again?

You can easily change the appearance of the minimap - just edit files in Graphics/MiniMap subfolder.

Personally, I don't rely on minimap to check if I captured all of my objectives. It is useful to quickly see where I the units are, and for quick navigation. But for checking VH ownership strategic map is better. You can hold space to temporarily remove all units from the strategic map, and then you will see all cities and objectives and their ownership very clearly.

I’ll try your technique - thanks for the advice.
