I've been experimenting. For Poland I bought
2 sIG33 SturmPanzer I artillery
1 Bf 110c tac bomber
1 He 111 H-2 Strat Bomber (with Norway in mind)
I like the self propelled artillery. The stats are actually better and they can move further and still fire. The downside is they cost more and have less ammo.
I went for the Bf 110c because I wanted another tac bomber but also wanted one that could fight air-to-air as well.
The jury is still out on the He 111 H-2 buy. I need to see if this helps in Norway

I almost get the exact same purchases, except I get a Stuka instead of the He 111. Reason is I buy the Ju 88 at the deploy stage of Norway because it has better anti-ship stats. Either way is probably a good choice since you build some experience for your He 111. I'm also a big fan of the self-propelled artillery despite having to resupply them more often.

I would suggest dropping the HE 111, and buy a JU88 at deploy in Norway. It is the best anti-ship aircraft in your arsenal early on. I like to keep some towed arty just so you have that extra ammo, if you attack then it defends you have to decide should I resupply or attack and hope I eliminate the enemy so they cant attack me next turn with no arty support.
I normally will buy a pioneer with truck on turn 1 and send him north to take out those 2 objective cities with my second towed arty that I just bought on turn 1 as well.
I always get a second ME110, used to go with the Stuka but the 110 has better chance of surviving in Norway and beyond, and can help kill a near dead enemy air unit if need be.

Poland buys
I like buying 1 sturmpanzers arty, then a fighter at the start . Then a second sturmapnzer and a stuka in poland as soon as possible.
In Norway I bought 2 pioneers with halftracks and upgraded 2 39 inf to grenediers with halftracks, then waited a bit to buy a Ju88 strat bomber.

I use fighter recon in the first 2 scenarios. I buy recon in the low countries.generalgonzo wrote:You guys don´t buy any Recon unit ???
Big mistake I guess, at least one of those units I would strongly recommend!
