I don't know of any delay. According to the Slitherine site the release date is 15/7/11.khurasan_miniatures wrote:When is this book shipping? I'm in a bit of a race to get the colonial Spanish to market when the book is out, and I've got later Iroquois which should be ready in the same timeframe, but if the book is late I get a bit of a reprieve.

Well, the painter got the models today:
1) rodoleros (4 poses)
2) crossbowmen (4 poses)
3) arquebusiers (4 poses)
4) standardbearer for infantry
5) Conquistador (Spanish gentleman) and mounted standard bearer
6) Armoured lancers (2 poses)
7) Unarmoured lancers (2 poses)
I'm hoping he can get the models painted by the 15th. The mouldmaker actually has not provided the production castings yet, and he's at Historicon! But he's promised me that I'll get the castings in the third week of July anyway.
The pikemen for later Colonial spanish were just finished sculpting today.
All the troops but the heavily armoued ones (ie, except for the Armoured lancers and the rodoleros) are 50% in Eurpean clothing, 50% in the heavy fabric jacket worn in the colonies, making the models uniquely useful as colonial forces. Unlike the classic depiction of the conquistador, they do not have morions on! They have the hats and burgonets worn by the troops, then pikemen having a simple pikeman's pot.

Perhaps this is mentioned in the book, but is Cortez represented by a Tlaxcalan army with Spanish allies, and is Pizarro represented by an Inca army with Spanish allies?
