I have several really 'good' games. They are all really really really good games, and I was happy to 'try them out'.
But a game that isn't actually played, and played a lot, simply isn't a great game.
My list of really good games, likely includes a lot of games that feature incredible detail and mind blowing depth. Levels of accuracy that simply full on leave you stunned. War in the Pacific and War in the East are likely without peer.
So what, I hardly have the inescapable urge to play them as they are simply too MUCH work to get into. The turns take so long.
I'm looking forward to Panzer Korps being one of the greatest wargames I have ever bought.
Sigh, if only my Steel Panthers ran like it was released yesterday, I'd have the squad level, platoon level, tactical, the operational and the grand strategy titles I need. I'd be able to likely just ignore the rest of my collection.
Good games get talked about, great games actually get played

Oh and remember to talk about the game in non standard places guys. It makes sense that wargamer haunts will discuss it, but it will do us good if you invade console forums too
And MMO sites and your local game retailer should be aware of the game that is simply better than anything currently on his shelves.

Funny you should mention this, there are some plans to make some non-traditional promotional materials to generate mass appeal. Stay tuned.DSWargamer wrote:Oh and remember to talk about the game in non standard places guys.
