FRAPS does not work!?

Post by Eich »

Yeah well whats up with that? Is this a 'feature' of RC4 or just plain bad luck? Wanted to record an awesome video and now that -.- Well I will investigate an alternative to FRAPS. But it would be cool if s1 would have a workaround or a hint.

The alternative I use is called 'Replay video capture'. It's what I used to make:

I'm not sure that last post is entirely accurate. I bought (yes bought not pirated) FRAPS, and my most up to date version does not have that option.
Or maybe I'm doing something wrong? (this is why I hate 'updating' my software)

Yeah I uncovered that mystery moments ago. You have to actual activate Aero design to check this box. Which I didn't so I activated Aero and it worked. Barely. It stutterd like hell ^^

Kerensky,

You'll only get the 'Monitor AERO Desktop' option if you have Vista or Win7, as WinXP doesn't use Aero.

Can't blame you for using XP. . . . I find it way more stable than Vista and a bit (so far) better than W7. If I had my choice, I'd stil be using Win98. That was stable.
Thanks,
