The humble Stug has a range of 1, unlike infantry's of 0, but you have to be in adjacent hex to fire. But I have never gotten return fire, even though a unit is adjacent. What happens on the next turn? Can you please explain the concept of range 1? Sounds like it could be useful for helicoptors, or planes with missles in future expansions.

The humble Stug has a range of 1, unlike infantry's of 0, but you have to be in adjacent hex to fire. But I have never gotten return fire, even though a unit is adjacent.
