Hero information

Post by genehaynes »

Can I get an update regarding whether or not there's any plan to show the new value of those unit attributes improved by Heroes? I think Razz1 thought this was being addressed, just wondering if it is.

Currently I'm playing Kiev (1939 Campaign) and I've received many Heroes. In order to see "at a glance" what benifits have been gained by a "Hero" unit, I've been renaming the unit to include the improved attribute (e.g. PzIVD (Atk+1) ). Now when I select the unit the information appears in the sidebar. It would be eaiser if the value of the attributes effected by a Hero were shown in green on the unit list and when right clicking on the unit.

Other than that I'm finding it really hard to find any serious faults with the game.

I probably should focus more on Beta testing than playing :)

I have been renaming the units too as the UI need to be improved concerning this display.

Remember the team is working on two other games now.

I'm sure we will see allot of improvements in the first patch. Need to get public feedback t make the list longer or validate the items we are seeing.

Only the Lordz team has moved on. The Lordz provided all teh art and music, sounds etc for the game. Alex, the programmer and designer of Pz Corps is not part of the Lordz, he is independent. He is still on Pz Corps full time! It is his only project :) (at the moment anyway!)

Indication of hero effects in unit stats did not get into 1.0. We froze the code in order not to introduce any last-minute issues into the game. However, this feature is on my wishlist and can well get into the first patch.

How will patching be done?
Automatic? Manual download and application of a file? Other?
Will there be notification of an update's availability in the game or do we need to frequent the forum?

It is automated through the launcher, you will be notified on the launcher if updates are available and just have to give permission and the latest updates are then automatically downloaded and installed through the server, you start up the game and you are done.

No not quite - we're changing the system from FoG/BA to simplfy the patching process and avoid some issues we found.

The launcher will have a check for updates button.
This will ping the server to check if you have the latest version.
If not it will let you download a patch installer.
You then run the patch installer to get up to date.
