CEAW Grand Strategy-Mac

Just got the MAC version of CAEW, it plays well on my machine (Mac Mini, 1.66 GHZ, 1 gb ram, OS 10.4.11). The problem is with Grand Strategy, I can play for awhile (at most 1 turn), the all units disappear and game freezes. Any clue on what I should check into?

Hi,

With 10.4.11 it will play slowly even when you have the music and sound effects off.

First you can update to the latest java.

Second, you can increase the memory to max for that system, and if that does not improve, you will need

to upgrade to Mac OS 10.5 and even better 10.6 . Of course with the latest java installed. Tiger does not handle

the expansion because we are really pushing the java engine.
