Spartan+Gates of Troy Saved Games

Post by Wadabing »

To who it may concern.
I recently upgraded my computer and noticed all my program files had been moved to a folder called
'windows.old'. Spartan and Gates of Troy happened to be in this folder, so I decided to reinstall the games for
old times sake. But when I went to recover the saved games, the 'saved games' folders in the original Spartan and
Gates of Troy directories were empty (except for a dummy file). After saving a game and looking in the new 'saves' folder,
nothing was there. Furthermore, I copied and pasted the old directories where the saved games should have been to the new location
where I installed the game, hoping the saved games would be written in. This didn't work, so I think its safe to say the saved games
are not located in the 'Slitherine' directory.

My question in a nutshell: When a game is saved, where is the 'save' file stored on the computer? It appears they aren't stored in the game directories.
