Haven't posted in a while, been busyatwork the last few months but I've been poking around with the latest release.
It looks alot more polished then the last time I've seen it.
A few minor issues that may or may not be too late to change:
Unit stats - Kills seems to be recording individual strength point losses where as the break down seem to record killing blows. Maybe add an additional stat "Killing Blows" and rename Kills to 'damage inflicted'? Also a 'damage taken' stat would be cool.
The fortress in Oslo seems too effective against land units.
***The big thing however:
Can an option be given, even if only accessible via hot key, to do something other than all or nothing replacements?
Specifically at the moment if I have a 2 Str PzI with 144 experience my choices are 8 ELITE Replacements for 43 prestige and a 0 exp loss OR 8 REGULAR Replacements for 0 prestige but an ~80 experience loss.
Could we not have the option, via a dialog box with perhaps with left/right arrows to split the replacements between the two? I could choose say 4 ELITE and 4 REGULAR replacements for ~22 prestige and a ~40exp loss so that I retain 1 star, without having to spend as much prestige.
Belated final look, only minor quibbles so far

IS-2?!
Finished Bagration and working on Balaton and I'm struck by the number of IS-2 tanks the Soviets have access to. While it made Bagration challenging (even 13 str Panthers could only safely tackle them while they tried to cross rivers) ideally I think from an entertainment POV if the AI could be encouraged to use less powerfull T-34/85s but push them accross the whole front (instead of single file across 2 river choke points) the results would be IMO more satisfying.
Another thing that I've commented on before and I'll comment on again - given the finite number of scenarios and the focus on the game of developing the core force, having scenarios where core units have to sit out, whether by design or not, seems to be unecessarily restrictive. Greece and Kiev not being able to deploy your full force is annoying, regardless of historical accuracy.
Likewise in Bagration 6/9 infantry and 2/2 recon sat out the battle because I lacked prestige to repair them, much less upgrade or overstrength them to the point where they're survivable. (Every point had to be put into tanks/AT as they were the only thing that could withstand the IS-2 flood)
I would also put in another last minute request to give the option to resurect the names and **histories** of fallen units when making purchases. Especially when it comes time to do "Allied Corps" or "Tank Corps" where core unit turn over will be even higher such a feature will allow core unit RPG development while at the same time minimize reaching for the reload option when a favorite 370 kill Panther is overwealmed by loads of IS-2s in a late scenario.
It is possible to load a "blank" custom scenario and crash the game.
It should also be changed so you can cancel an embark if you haven't moved.
Otherwise I'm really happy with the game as it stands.
