HUBCON 2011 – The Heyday of the Hellenes

On September 10-11, 2011, the Gulf Coast Championship Series is proud to announce the 2011 HUBCON Field of Glory Theme Tournament. This year’s theme will revolve around the heyday of the Hellenic Civilizations. This will be a 4 round, 1 list, 900 point theme tournament.

4 rounds – 3 hours 45 minutes plus 2d6+3 minutes of random time. “Austin Pistol Start” will be used for each round and when time is called players will complete the current phase.

3 rounds on Saturday, 1 round on Sunday

Standard 25-0 scoring will be in effect. All FOG FAQ’s and Errata shall be in effect. Round one pairings will match ELO scores as close as possible with subsequent rounds determined by score with players playing up to avoid re-matches.

Plaques will be awarded for places 1-3.

Cost for the convention has not been determined. Entry fee for the tournament will be $5.

There is no hotel associated with HUBCON at this time but there are numerous hotels in the area.

Southern Mississippi is playing at Marshall that weekend so booking a hotel room should be a touch easier this year.

Late lists grant opponent choice of terrain type from available choices prior to rolling for initiative (i.e. Late list owners grant their opponent the opportunity to choose terrain type prior to determining who has initiative).
