POA for 4th rank of Pike in Disordering terrain

POA for 4th rank of Pike in Disordering terrain

If you have a BG of Pike that has moved into disordering terrain with the first 3 ranks but the fourth rank is in the open does the POA for a 4th rank in the open count.

OR

Does the "In the Open" refer to the entire BG and thus all 4 ranks must be in the open to count the 4th rank bonus?

This argument has been done on a number of occassions. POA's only refer to front rank. So the 4th rank could be in a forest on the other side of a reverse slope defense on a steep hill. Providing the front rank is in good going the POA counts.

Not that I agree with that.
