Firstly thank you for this excellent upgrade and kudo's to all involved. It is amazing.
In the next upgrade (hopefully there will be continued enhancements to this great game) - I would like to address two small issues.
Firstly Bulgaria: Bulgaria never declared war on the USSR and throughout the war even had a USSR embassy located in Sofia. Bulgaria was active inthe Balkansbut did declare war against the western allies. I am not surehow this could be achieved in the game - but Bulgarian units are defacto used in Russia which shouldnt happen - I would rather see them located in France or Africa then Russia because even though this didnt happen at least they had declared war against the UK, USA and western allies.
Secondly Slovakia: Slovakia was an independant (albiet heavily influenced) ally of Germany - they are the only German ally to have taken part in the invasion of Poland (so where with them from the beginning). They contributed a constant level of circa 2 corps (60k troops) all the way through until '44 when they where made into construction battalions. They even had a motorised division. They should be represented as a seperate entity (not a renamed German division).
The way I am currently playing this is that I rename two Bulgarian Corps as Slovakian and use them in Russia and the rest of the Bulgarian forces I keep in the Balkans (but may on occasion send a division to France or so).
ANyone else's thoughts are appreciated - especially in case this has already been taken into account and I havnt seen the thread.

Re: Slovakia and Bulgaria
The alpha play test team did discuss these issues (I raised it) but as Pion has noted, the game engine doesnt allow us to restrict the use of the Bulgarian units (which were historically deployed in Greece and Yugoslavia from what I could determine) so we decided to leave it alone (quite frequently Rumanian and Hungarian units are deployed by players in France which never happened, so its the same issue).afk_nero wrote:Firstly thank you for this excellent upgrade and kudo's to all involved. There was also some discussion to link Bulgarian entry to a DOW of Greece in some way but this didnt go anywhere either.
With respect to the Slovakian troops, there were really only two options available; either create them as a new axis minor which is a fair bit of effort for one corp (or possibly two corps depending on which OOB you believe) or name one of the Hungarian corps as the Slovakian Expeditionary Corp because the Hungarians are actually one corp too strong based on the OOB information that we had at hand. In the end though, both options fell by the wayside (I suspect that it all seem too much effort for a bit of chrome that had little or no impact on game-play).
Hope the above helps.
Cheers
Neil
