Proofreaders for manual?

Post by OmegaMan1 »

I've printed out the manual and started reading. Would the designers be interested in any proofreading work for the manual?

 I've already asked here: viewtopic.php?t=25512

If anyone is needed, though, you can take it if you want.

Well, as we say in the newspaper business, "the more eyes the better." Perhaps both of us could do proofing and between the two compile our findings in this thread. Sound good? :)

That sounds fine to me. I was going to just do it directly onto the .pdf, though. I'll make a start on it tomorrow (going to bed now) and post any mistakes (+corrections) I find in the first ten pages, then maybe you can take pp.11-20? I will then do 21-30, and you can take 31-36 if that's OK?

Sounds like a fine plan. I'll start proofing this evening and post anything I find tomorrow as well. And if you catch something I miss in my pages please don't hesitate to post it!

The manual is already in print - we had 3 people proof read it already so hopefully no big errors!

I understand. So far I haven't found anything horrific, but there are a number of typos in the text. Would you be interested in them for updating the manual electronically?

Thanks but we cant change it now. Its just too much work this type of thing. Any changes effect the flow of every page after them.
