Hiho guys,

This time I bring some graphical glitches from testing low resolution .


Play button overlapped by scroll bar.


Any buttons, please? Also, no scrolls ..nothing ...


"(Click to continue)" should be more visible ...maybe pulsing / changing colors?


Buttons on the edge of screen.


Title misplaced, button not on the screen.


Text overlapped by buttons.


Maybe it would be possible to add horizontal scroll bar? Or rescale some of those images?
Autoscroll would also work, but this may be harder ...

Found one bug:

- Scrolls in Purchase window do not seem to work properly; It is possible to click on list and arrows, but it is not possible to "drag" the bar.
The same bars work correctly in Upgrade window.

This is very odd - where do the scroll bars come from as they are nothing to do with the game code.

It looks like you are running in a res your desktop doesnt really support and it is trying to zoom in to it and add scroll bars in the OS, and failing badly.

Has anyone else seen these issues?

Have you tried updating your drivers?

I'll try later with 800x600. With a CRT it's easier and 800x600 is 4:3.
I'll report back.

Yes, it's like skarczew reported.
With 800x600 I hardly could played it. No horizontal scroll bar, buttons are out of place no mini map....
However I was able to see the units in all the splendor. Congratulations to the modelers team they have made an outstanding job.

With 1024x768 everything seems to be all right, as far as I could tell.

The min resolution is 1024 width by 600 height

At that minimum resolution (1024 x 600) are you supposed to see a vertical screen scroll, i.e. on the far right hand side? That's what I get on my netbook.

No, at that res it should be fine.

I'm getting the vertical screen scroll until I get into the game. It's on a Samsung NC10 with 2GB RAM running XP Home SP3. The game is at 1024 x 600 @ 32bpp. Here's a screen dump ...

Why not? It may be used on non laptop PCs (800x600, that is).

Nothing is failing there and I guess you don't understand my report .
Ok, then again:


The both scroll bars do not work. Dragging the bars fails - but clicking on places up or down the scroll bar makes them move.
The same in Upgrade window work correctly.

Doesn't seem so, was buggy at few different ones I checked.

skarczew, I think it's solved with RC3.
