Newbie questions

Hi,

I have purchased CEATW GS2 (Mac version) a couple of weeks ago and am having a lot of fun with it.
There are a few things which I have not figured out yet. Perhaps, someone can help.

1. I cannot figure out how to upgrade units to paratrooper status. The corresponding button is always inactive
What conditions need to be met to make that possible? The manual that came with my game is strangely
silent about paratroopers...

2. I have seen in several AARs that air units can be put into a "sentry" mode to prevent them from interdicting.
How do I do this? Again, my manual does not mention this (I am wondering if I have the right one...).

Sorry if these questions are stupid. I have been looking around the forum but have been unable to find
any answer.

Hi,

I'm not a mac person and don't know what the manuals in mac version are like, but are you sure you're reading the Grand Strategy and not the vanilla game manual?

you are absolutely correct - I was looking at the vanilla manual. Now I have found the GS2.0 one on my hardrive
and it explains everything I want to know in great detail. How embarrassing...
