advertising the game
If you go to matrix game website, or direct onto facebook, you can click on recommend Panzer Corps. I just did. I think this may be a great way to help spread the word of the game and suggest others follow suit. No bigger advertising market than something like facebook etc.
Not really, I avoid both like the plague as well.But... I don't use Facebook or Twitter... Sad lol
I got enough x-girlfriends and other people I'd rather not find a way to make easier contact with me as it is

Experience Ratio = (def exp level + 2)/(att exp level + 2)
Entrenchment Ratio = (def entr rate + 1) /(att entr rate + 1)

Not Panzer Corps....?
I just clicked the 'Recommend this' button on the Matrix Games website, and now on my Facebook page I have 'Kage Tora recommends Panzer Corps', and a picture of Commander: Europe At War........
I agree Facebook steals your id information and email and twitter is the plague.Obsolete wrote:Not really, I avoid both like the plague as well.But... I don't use Facebook or Twitter... Sad lol

We have a full PR campaign planned - don't worry!
However word of mouth is one of the best marketing tools so when the game is out the more people you tell about it the better! Posting on forums, twitter, facebook etc. It just raises awareness and people check it out and hopefully like what they see. People trust what people they know say far more than adverts so adverts have very limited use. We do them but we dont find they work as well as word of mouth.

Once released, spreading the word would help us tremendously, whatever help and PR we can get is welcome and appreciated.

My tuppence
I've been telling everyone I know in the Men Of War gaming community, plus I have set up Panzer Corps (and the Scenario Editor) to run through Steam, so when I start playing everyone I know on Steam gets told I am playing Panzer Corps, which then leads them to ask me what it's all about. I believe I may have found at least three converts, and possibly more.....
