I'm close to 40 and have played all the old PZG games, using countless of hours on them. I still remember the Polish cavalry taking me by surprise.... Now 17 years later I start up the beta version of Panzer Corps and find me at home even though I haven't touched anything PZG since 1999.

I have not touched the manual (yet).

Menu UI:
Clean and easy to navigate. Wondered why the background picture didn't fill my screen though (running 1920x1200) - minor.
Tried the library. Since its beta, my guess is that a lot of data is missing, but did enjoy the tank schematics and the option to enlarge the picture. Really nice pictures!!!!
Looked for the option menu entry but its not there (found it in-game)

New game UI:
Again clean and easy on the eye. I selected Scenario and found the Poland scenario! Off to battle ;o)

30 seconds in game:
-Scenario loads really fast (but didn't realize that I had to click the "Axis Turn 1" screen before the map came up. Waaaaauuuuuhhh this looks great. Tried to zoom even further in to enjoy the crisp and sharp map and unit graphics. But it is not possible, only zoom out (no problem - just want to admire my small soldiers up close).

Clicked the tank in 5,15 and was looking for some stats....

5 minutes into the game:
At this point I had found the three options to show stats, units and reserve lists. Pretty neat. Really like it, even though I must confess the stats list is the one I use now.
The UI has mouse overs for every button and therefore make it easy to figure out what the different buttons do.
The dot and truck graphic combined with the movement path arrow is very easy to interpret and make it easy to move units.
I'm red/green colorblind and find the red attack icon a little to weak on the green map for my personal preference, again a minor. I have not tried any other scenarios so with winter graphics it could be a lot better.

15 minutes into the game:
Katowice, Cieszyn, Cracow and Nowy Sacz has fallen to the German might....
My bombers is stopped on their way to support my troops by a unit of P.23B...love this...
I'm wondering what the small yellow icons mean on my Panzer IB... Soon realises that the unit is running out of ammo and need to resupply, but where... Figures out it has to go to a city....

The last thing I try before I'm off to work is the 'Purchase Units'. I have 4 core slots but not really sure which units are my core units and if they have any use in a scenario. Seems to remember it was used in the PZG campaigns. I will have to figure it out later.

1 hour into the game:
This will come asap, since I only have around 30 mins of game time as of today.

Glad you are enjoying - just a note supply works anywhre but takes a turn. Only Air & naval units need to return to port/base to supply & repair.
