RC1 thoughts
I like the latest version, but I don't think its quite the finished artical.
Things I love added in RC1
1. the larger, clearer objective flags.
2. The floating damage when attacking/attacked.
3. The increase in information and cross section in the library.
4. unit comarisons lower stats shown in red
Thinks I still don't like/would like to have been added
1. Still not very clear which units are core and which are aux.
2. No Arnhem, Finland, Failaise gap scenario, no desert campaign/scenarios and no made up scenarios/campaign(apart from in multiplayer).
3. how artillary units move forward to attack, even on rivers.
despite the above, still loving the game. I was also wondering if you have thought of somewhere where people can submit their devised scenarios/campaigns that people who have bought the game can download them to their version. This could be especially useful for people who either don't have time to make their own, or like me just arent clever enough to do it.lol
Keep up the good work.

I think artillery units on rivers are questionable but they can be seen as near the river or along the river.3. how artillery units move forward to attack, even on rivers.
A point I still would like to see changed is the anti-air units that move and fire on aircraft's.
They now can have a 3 hex + 1 hex range. It feels wrong that they can react so fast on planes that
basically are much faster and swoop in and out of action. I think the 3 hex range is already enough
and the extra hex movement seems inappropriate, for fixed anti-air that is.
Core have gold/red twisted borders, auxiliary silver around their strength plate.1. Still not very clear which units are core and which are aux.
Also when you toggle the Unit List on the Main UI you will see all your cores are gold, auxiliary silver borders.
Afrika, DAK and Rommel will get some extra attention, and I have no doubt within a few weeks after release plenty of free maps and scenario`s will appear available as we will include the scenario editor and tutorial. Hence the whole reason for us to release the editor on day one.2. No Arnhem, Finland, Failaise gap scenario, no desert campaign/scenarios and no made up scenarios/campaign(apart from in multiplayer).

That all sounds really good, can't wait. I think this area is where this game benefits immensly over Panzer general, which it is compared heavily with.
Thanks for the replies
I agree about the AA, there range and strength is probably too good. Mind you, they help immensly when playing the Germans on D Day and other similar scenarios.lol

I see that ships look like they have run aground in some situations, like in this snap off of Sciliy.

Could the ship counters be moved back some from shore, mainly the capital ships, then increase their firing range accordingly? The troop transports look ok though.I think the combat results between aircraft are much better.

Use Alt+click to open up the Unit Info menu. We are updating core/aux visuals.
