opening custom games.

Post by zuekamo »

well, when i try to open a scenario, the pop up window show the th directory where are the savefiles "my games\panzer corps\save".

then i have to go until the "slitherine\panzer corps\data", but in the last version this was the default directory. and i don't see how i could change this way of access.

i don't know if it only is happening in windows xp

simply solution to the user could be copy paste the scenarios, but the casual beginner player could be avoiding the scenarios that come with the game.

sorry for my english.

zue

edit. NVM, now is working with the right directory, i don´t know why it happens at first time.

The directory changes depending upon your last usage. If you use Excel or Word to attach a document in an email then Windows remembers the last access location.

Therefore it defaults to the location of your documents and not the game directory where saved games/scenarios are located at.

This is simple basic function of windows.

you will learn that in any windows class or at work or from someone else like, like here.

I believe allot of applications can be hard coated in the background to always point to the correct directory for scenarios/saved games.
