Each participating player will be allowed to request up to three of the above lists in addition to the standard army lists for beta testers document.

4. The list submitted must not exceed 800 points specified.

5. Army lists must specify the number and size of battle groups and the order of march for deployment. They should also include the territory list for the army. Once an army list has been submitted it may not be changed or altered other than to correct any errors. Players may only correct their errors by making reasonable changes to their list. It is not allowed to completely re-write the list, and the list checkers decision on this is final.

6. Please note the BHGS Challenge 2007 is a single list format. Any incorrect list discovered after a game has commenced (after set up dice have been rolled) must be corrected prior to the next match.

7. Army lists must be submitted for checking in advance and must be received by the List Checker not later than one week before the event.

8. The List Checker is James Hamilton (hammy@the-riverbank.net) 17 Davenport Park Road, Stockport, Cheshire, SK2 6JU. Tel 0161 483 9131. Please note that only incoming calls are possible, and that the list checker can only respond to queries in connection with Army Lists. All other queries must be addressed to the organisers.

9. Players must fully define their troops as they are placed on table.

10. Table size is 6' x 4' and players must supply their own terrain pieces. These must be to an acceptable standard, and umpires will have the discretion to remove unsightly items. In addition all figures must be representative and painted and based to an acceptable standard.

11. Players must be present and ready to start the match at the appointed time. Where a player has a reasonable excuse for arriving late the match start will be delayed by up to 30 minutes. After which time the effected player will be awarded a bye and 32 points. No player will be awarded more than one bye for any reason.

12. If a player resigns from a game at any stage after the first set up dice have been rolled their opponents will be awarded 32 points.

13. Matches will continue until the end of the side with initiatives turn (but not including a final interbound phase) in the current pair of turns when time is called. Time will be called after 3.5 hours plus a 1 ??“ 15 minute random factor. The random factor will be determined by the umpire prior to the start of the round, and will not be revealed until the announcement is made. Players may always commence games earlier than the stated time by mutual consent.

14. Admission to the tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. An application to enter denotes acceptance of these rules. Entry fees and any queries to be addressed to the BHGS The White Cottage, 8 Westhill Ave. Epsom, KT19 8LE. Tel. 01372 812132. Fax. O1372 817038. e-mail BHGS@slitherine.co.uk All postal correspondence must be accompanied by a SAE. Those indicating an e mail address will receive communications via e mail.

So we won't be using any of the suggested changes to MF? Bow still shoot in 1.5 ranks?

We expect to issue a new version to entrants in the next week. We appreciate that this won't give much time to assimilate them - but it is a beta test tournament.

Do we have idea if there is enough interest to warrant a competition yet?

No problem with that at all. But it would be nice to have them before we have to submit army lists?

I guess that's quite important too?!!

Indeed, but the only changes likely to affect army choice are the ones listed in the forthcoming changes thread.

The main additional change is that we do now (at last) have some workable rules for war wagons.

However, all war wagons in the lists are now incorrectly classified, the points have changed and the Hussite list will be completely changed.

So if anyone feels compelled to use war wagons, best let me know so I can advise accordingly.

No idea, you will need to ask JD. I can't come anyway as it is Thomas's wedding on the Saturday. (And I will be too hung over to come on the Sunday).

So far we have a limited number of entries to this event. Are there any people sitting on the fence? How many players do people feel are needed to make a competition?

IMO once we have 6 players then we can do a round robin.

If you do fancy five games of AoW the weekend after next get in touch with JD.

Cheers

Unfortunately I'm out of the country at the time of the comp so I'll have to give it a miss.
