Tank range attack

Quick question, why is it the panther and tiger tanks (along with others as well) have no range advantage ( shoot 2 hexes). This was one of the biggest advantages they had besides bigger guns they could kill from distances allied tanks could not. I played pg1 2 and 3 so not a newbie to this format of games.

They have range advantage, expressed in much higher initiative rating. Considering hex size (>10 km), they could never shoot across 2 hexes.

So you changed it in PzC by increasing the initiative rating rather then give it more range for realism. Ok that work for me didn't know each hex represented 10k thanks.
