Update from Attalid Pergamene vs Illyria...
The battle can be considered as 3 parts:
On the AP left Illyria has a host of MF mostly on steep hills, but some just below. These are surrounded on three sides with the NE still open. The AP forces have just broken the SW tip and will start advancing, but most of the AP MF have fallen or weak and the advance is left to HF and lancers so not looking so good.
In the centre, slightly disconnected from the left, the AP Galatian HF have broken the hoplites and MF that were in the open and are swinging round to the MF on the trees.
On the northern right a line of Galatian HF with cavalry support are slowly destroying the MF in the trees, but are taking big losses in the process. On the Southern right the Galatian HF that were defending some hills and a gully have finally collapsed through sheer weight of numbers. If ever a group of soldiers deserved medals it was these 4 units who probably have destroyed 2-3 times their number even when they have been fighting 2-3 units at a time.
AP Cavalry and LF rushing to fill the gap before the Illyrian MF get to the rear of the northern part of the line.
The only question is whose line(s) will collapse 1st. I wouldn't bet money on a AP victory
