Trouble with Custom games

Post by tmgiles1 »

Downloaded 999 twice now and cannot get 'data' file which contains custom games to show up on my pc. All that it shows under Panzer General are Save, Log, and Replay. Works fine on my laptop, I can get to all of them under 'data' folder. Any help?

For my installation of Windows XP, it works like this:

C:\Games\Panzer Corps Beta\Panzer Corps\Data

This is where the game used to store all scenario files, stock and custom. The game now defaults custom/user made maps to

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\Save

So either
A: Place your self made maps in the 2nd directory I listed.
OR
B: Navigate the PzC search window to the first directory and resume using that one like you have in previous BETAs.

Does that help?

No, when I hit Load Game or Custom it opens the window showing Save (empty, I haven't saved any), log, and replay. When I try to find Panzer Corps Beta\Data it says the path is not found or file not found. I don't think it downloaded right, it doesn't seem to exist. Like I said it's there on my laptop.

OK, I figured it out. It doesn't work from the Load Game tab for whatever reason, but from the scenario list if you select Custom, the open file window appears. Type in \Program Files, then select Slitherine, then Games, then Panzer corps, then select Data, it will list all the available games. This is for Windows XP.
