Driver problems

Post by Lysimachos »

Suddenly I'm not able to open my FoG game but a label appears saying:

Nvidia OpenGL Driver
Driver component mis-match
Exit is the only option

Does anyone has a solution for it?
Thank's!

I also tried to uninstall the game and install again but it always appear the same label.

Really nobody has the slightest hint about what to do with this problem?

Please give me an idea  or I'll be dead! :?

I'm FoG addicted at the moment!

You mayu need to upgrade your video driver if you haven't done that recently. If you have upgraded it recently then perhaps you need to roll back to the previous version.

Thank's for the advice!

After a lot of work I was able to restore the situation with new drivers.
Alas I previously deleted the game and reinstalling it with all the patches in the correct order was quite a hard job.

But finally it's done and I'm in the fray again! 8)

Glad you're set now. Reinstalling shouldn't be as bad as it used to be anyway. Install the base game, install the 1.3.3 (or newer if there is one) and then do auto updates. Once you're patched to the current version, then you just need to enter the serial numbers for your add ons at the initial screen and you should be all set. Much better than it used to be when you had to install all the add ons in the right order.

Interesting to learn something new.

I'll take it in mind for the next time!
(hoping such a problem will never appear again)
