Panzer Corps Scenario Editor Feedback
Right now I am twiddling with the scenario editor. I am on Vista and have had to set the editor to run as admin. The reason for this is that it won't save maps or edit maps I've saved while those maps are in the Data folder in the game folder in Program Files.
I am wondering if it might be a good idea to the devs to set the scenario editor to run as admin by default (which I have done), or have an entirely separate folder for custom scenarios (in Documents or Program Files in AppData, for example).

It's a separate file - 'Panzer Corps Scenario Editor', inside your Slitherine\Panzer Corps folder. It runs separately from the game itself.tnourie wrote:Where is the editor? I don't see it in the screen anywhere, or is it not with my version or a seperate file not attached? I can't look now as I'm at work. . .

Thanks! I'll take a look when I get home.Rudankort wrote:In 0.98 the link to the Editor is also added by the installer to Start Menu, next to the link to the game itself.
Just curious, can we ajust the colors\look of individual units? Say I were to do an alternate history (my favorite genra) scenario and I wanted some Civil War looking unit types or Roman looking units? It's not a game breaker if not of course, just curious.
Thanks,

Neutral non-VH hexes currently do not work properly. There are 2 work-arounds.
A. Make them victory hexes. Then they will 'flip' properly'
B. Make them a nation that does not exist in the scenario and has not been assigned to the map. For example, in Germany vs Russia, assign airfields to... I dunno Australia, Italy, or Poland.

Alright that worked. Put in quite a few hours today in scenario creation with the editor. It's better than I figured it was going to be.
I will TRY to put a few more hours into my planned campaign tomorrow and test-drive this editor some more.
The next thing on my list I'd like to see, is how do I insert those mission briefings before the scenario starts.

I made a small map (default size) and put some towns on it, along with other things, and just added the flags I wanted to the towns - in my case Germany and Poland. When I (as Germany) took the cities with the flags, they automatically changed to Germany, and in the few instances when the AI retook some of the cities, the flags changed back to Poland. They work as you would expect.Rudankort wrote:Edit->Flags and draw flags on the map as usual.Obsolete wrote:What I would like to know, is how to set up ownership of hexes? Seems my airports are neutral and won't re-fuel aircraft, etc.
