Occasional CTD

Hi,
I'm running Grand Strategy patched to 1.07
I thought this issue might have been related to the java thing but not sure.

Every once in a while the game will just crash to the desktop. It appears to get worse as the game progresses and there are more units in play. I've learned to save often and can play the game ok, but it does get annoying once the war gears up and the turns are longer.

I'm running Vista on a fairly good computer and have already installed all the patches to 1.07 and java is up to date.
It seems to be random. I might play 20 turns with no issues, and then I could have crashes just a few turns apart.

After I installed all the latest patches I also noticed that my editor has disappeared. There is no executable in the folders.

So, my question is should I just try to uninstall the whole thing and reinstall and check to see where I'm at?

I'm not sure what you mean by the editor? The only editor is for the standard, or vanilla game. There isn't a releasable GS map editor.

With respect to the CTD's you're getting I would shut down all other unnecessary programs and see if that helps. Personally, I wouldn't resinstall if GS is running.
