A few thoughts on multiplayer

Post by gcfl »

I am currently playing two multiplayer games and would like to offer some suggestions and comments:

1. I assume there will be a play back of the other player's move added at some point? If not, it really needs to be considered. At present it is very difficult to keep track of all the changes from one move to the next.

2. An after battle report should also be included showing losses etc.

3. The system needs to prompt the user about ammo getting low. The little icon is just not cutting it. I am finding myself sending units into battle unaware I am out of artillary shells. I am watching closer no but it could be a little more user friendly.

4. We really need to be allowed to stack units on one hex IMO. I should be able to combine foot and armor attacks on a unit or city for example without worrying about a clear path to the enemies hex. I really doubt my foot soldiers would take up so much logistical space as to crowd out my tanks for a combined attack.

5. It seems like armor is not balanced here. I can attack with the biggest and baddest tiger and get absolutely wiped out by men on foot almost every time. I am not an expert player so it may be me but it happens with such regularity, it seems off to me.

OK, that's it for now.

troops in a city will usually be entrenched and are harder for armour to take on. try to send in the air force and aritllery first to soften them up, then send in infantry then try the tanks to kick the last of the defenders butts. the original PG did not allow unit stacking either

I agree some kind of low ammo low fuel warning is badly needed as I also often end up going into battle with 1 round or nor rounds and only find out after I move adjacent

That does not preclude it from being considered here though does it?

Thanks for the feedback. Stacking is something we dont like because of the UI issues. Its hard to display, its hard to select etc. Keep the suggestions coming though - just because we dont agree with this one doesnt mean we wont like the next one!
