Pike and shot versus Shot in melee

Hi

Just want to make sure i have this correct -

C17 pike and shot units 4 shot /2 pike appear to have
no melee/impact advantages over all shot units.
Unless i am missing something the only potential
advantage the pike/shot unit has is in cohesion tests.
Does the pike/shot Iunit count as heavy while the
shot count as medium ?
If not then i can see why infantry went all shot - the
only advantage is against cavalry.

I don't think you are missing anything, it is in the CT that the Pike and Shot get an advantage over the all Shot BG as these will take a -1 for losing to Heavy Foot.
