Zoom issue

I am running a dell Laptop studio 15 with windows 7 home

The problem seems that the zoom using the track pad is intermmitant. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Are there any other keys on the keyboard that zoom in an out?

No hot keys exist yet, but it sounds like a good idea to add them. Something like + and - buttons, sounds ok?

if you are not using PgUp and PgDn for anything I would link those to zoom in / out as well

regarding Zooming, and the strategic map---any plans to deepen some of the colours? eg. Roads vs. Rails etc. still find some of the terrain hard to distinguish. It is extremely important to consider the rail points to capture in initial deployments etc in some of the larger maps, and they need to be much easier to see on the strategic map, or on the zoom out map.

I was thinking as well--Why couldn't you just get rid of the seperate key for the strategic map and put 3 levels on the mouse wheel?

I have a Dell NT 5010 laptop, I use a mouse and its wheel to zoom, the only thing is that you get only two levels of zoom, the very close one or the full screen, would be nicer to have more levels.
