First Five Min. and Completing the First Tutorial

Start up

The start up was very quick the display in the Main display portion of the screen was was
black except for the name of the scenario and number of turns for the game. Until I clicked on it with the mouse. There was no briefing with the tutorial, if there was one included it did not display or play. I could only guess at what the tutorial was trying to accomplish.

(note I have not located the manual for Panzer Corps as of yet nor read it)

Game Play

I had a little trouble with this (see above) but figured it out quickly, the main map is nice and I
like the way the hexes are not displayed but they still are in a way, I like that I can change that
to much more defined hexes too.
Unit movement was pretty straight forward once I figured out Left Mouse Button (LMB) for
Selection and Right Mouse Button (RMB) for Destination or Attack.
Unit animations I didn’t see a lot of movement animations just move unit Icon to the hex selected I would have liked to see the Infantry men march or some kind of bounding over watch when close to the enemy or attacking the muzzle fire was very well done as well as the marching sound and gunfire from various weapons . Another thing I noticed was there was no
facing change in the unit icon when attacking or being attacked.

Overall

I have only spent a little bit of time with Panzer Corps, still need to read the manual.
It does seem to be a worthy successor to Panzer General (I still play it) even if it is still in beta.

I will definitely be playing more of this game as time goes on.
