Download latest Panzer Corps Beta here!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the Panzer Corps Beta!
The latest version of Panzer Corps can be downloaded from
http://www.slitherine.com/files/panzer_ ... rpsRC4.rar
Password:
pzc-sli-rc4-11-06-30
Download the file and unzip it then run it and enter the serial number you were provided. REMEMBER to use the password above to unzip and the serial in your e-mail when installing. DO NOT use the serial when trying to unzip!
In addition we have an updated intro movie that we woudl like you to grab:
http://www.slitherine.com/files/panzer_corps/intro.rar
Unzip this file to the folder you installed the game to in the Videos folder. It woudl usually be Program Files\Slitherine\PanzerCorps\Videos\intro.wmv
It would be great if as many can try this as possible to see if there are any compatibility issues.
Trouble Shooting
If you have problems with the password make sure you have not copied any trailing spaces. If this fails try typing it manually remembering it is case sensitive.
You need WinRar or a similar decompression program to unzip/unrar/extract the launcher/installer.
http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm
If after trying to type the Password/PW by hand and the rar files still gives a corrupt error, you probably have a corrupt download, in this case please re-download and try again first.
After extracting just start the installer and follow the instructions, it will ask for the serial number, mailed to you personally, and than you will be on your way installing and playing the game.
If you have any problems please post them in the beta forum.

The link at the top of the thread has been updated to beta 3. Please go and grab it and install it!
Lots of cool new stuff in this build:
- Online multiplayer - it is not final yet but has the basics of issuing challenges, acepting then etc. You cannot message your opponent yet.
- 6 new scenarios. Eastern front is now complete, and campaign can already be played from 1939 to 1945 (without western branch).
- A lot of graphics/UI updates: combat prediction, movement overlays (more transparent), stat icons, neutral countries, minimap, strategic map, Purchase screen, unit and stat panels
- Music and some more sound effects
- Experimental animations
- A number of changes in unit class balance (ships and artillery causing lasting suppression, anti-air cause more suppression and less kills etc.)
Please let us know what you think!

Hi guys
link at the top is updated with the new build
Main new features:
- Added a number of combat effects. Poland is the best scenario to check out this technology, also worth checking are naval battle effects (e. g. in Sea Lion) and rocket artillery (Nebelwerfers, Katyushas). Also, combats should happen fast now and not slow down the game pace.
- Added 6 more scenarios and the western branch of the main campaign. All mandatory scenarios are now in.
- All unit icons are in place.
- Added a number of briefings created by our great supporter Kerensky.
- All bugs except #13 and #46 should be fixed; a lot of minor features and improvements everywhere.
Enjoy!

Hi guys,
Just a few notes on the latest Beta we still have some Media that is missing or is in as placeholder...
- The effects, just Poland and Sealion have the effects correct, so fire coming out of muzzle correct etc. On other units you will see they are all off-set. Reason why, we first want to get some feedback as all settings need to be done individual per unique unit icon, left/right and big/small. Around 1800 calculations and settings by hand... so before we take on this last mammoth task we want to make sure we will have to do it only once... so any effect feedback is more than welcome.
- Still some important art is placeholder and/or is missing as new MP UI, Campaign/Scenario UI, Heroes/Unit Info/Battle History UI, Library UI, Dossier UI, Credits... most is done, but not in Beta yet.
- Some Unit icons, mainly Infantry, are still missing, like some big unit icons in Purchase menu and the late infantry units... again very close to finishing.
- Some map tiles are still not all polished and done.
- Intro Video is done but not ingame yet.
- Some other little tasks as move animations, some main UI changes, some animated GIF buttons, well basically our to-do list...
Cheers,
Tim aka LZ

The password for the zip file is:
slitherine-27-04-11
Try copy/paste or typing it by hand or try Ctrl+c to copy and Ctrl+v to paste...
The serial number is only needed when installing the game after it is unzipped. So use the password to unzip the installer/launcher than when you install the launcher will ask you for the serial.

Please send your saved game to rudankort@rsdn.ru. I'll check it out.dshaw62197 wrote:When I tried to load my game from build 3 the program froze. Tried a second time and nothing happened after 5 minutes. No big deal, I'm starting a new campaign with the new build. Just thought you'd like to know.
Hmm. Seems every time I dl the current installer, either the file is damaged, or it aborts half-way through with a problem of the password.
Maybe it's just me, will wait to see if anyone else gets this to work so I know.
(Edit) Never mind, problem solved, Vista was adding a white-space.

On the latest beta, password does not work. At first, it ran half way, then asked for password again. Then it went three-quarters of the way, asking again for the password. Now it goes nearly the entire length of unpacking, asking for the password once more.
I've copy-pasted and entered manually. It does not work.
Seems silly, IMO, to have an unzip password and then a serial once the game is installed.
All this wouldn't bother me that much, if the unzip password worked. I am using XP.
