After several tries at the 1939 campaign, including one that seemed to be plagued with rain that I just stopped playing, I finally managed to win in Norway with 3 turns to go, and just as I moved into the last objective hex, the game froze. I did not realize it at first so I clicked the end turn button, well nothing happened so I was looking to see if some sneak had doubled back and captured one of the southern cities, thats when the MS error box appeared asking if I wanted to send a report to Microsoft.
Well after 4 tries and one success the game threw a tantrum and crashed.... Unfortunately I had a great initial landing too, manged to take the mid airfield and city without any arty about and even got the middle city before it spawned a garrison
. A hard fought game and it is probably harder than Panzer General ever was since you have to force your way up that narrow neck of land to the last city hex. I managed to save 4 ships of the Kriegsmarine that blasted everything up there or I doubt I would have made it. Perhaps next time I should pick a different campaign and give it a try for a change... just when success was so close and I was getting ready to turn in for the night too.....
