1.5.4 Crash

I opened 1.5.4 to check someting int he DAG and then exited. Then immediately restarted it to check something else and got this message:

Thanks for reporting this crash. It should be fixed in version 1.5.5. In the meantime, please just try launching the game again when you get the crash.

If anyone is getting this crash every time they try to start the game (not just occasionally), please let us know.

Same error message here every time I start the game. Launching the game in a second attempt works.

FOG will not let me in - at all. I have tried re-opening and still get the message FOG has stopped working, with similar explanation to Batesmotel. For full error message see my previous report in FOG forum.

Any ideas?

I still have my install files and passwords available if re-installing would help.

Were you trying to load a Dacian list?

we cut and paste the Saxon list into the Dacian list when doing all the translation work to support Italian and German. Fixed as part of the next update 1.5.5. Probably live on Tuesday. Keith

I'm on Windows XP. Just updated through the ingame installer from 1.5.1 to 1.5.4. Big mistake. Game will not start now. Before I get to the launcher I get

I was just starting the game from the launcher. So no list was involved when it crashed. I think I looked at the Early Vandal list (but didn't load any saved armies) before I exited and then got the crash from the launcher.
