Hi everyone
Well after another run out with the Later Ottomans at the Challenge I fancy a change and am looking at Later Sicilians.
I've managed to get the list to 799 points but used the Saracen Archers which are poor light foot bow only allowed for Angevins from 1267 to 1301.
Are these allowable with Almughavars in Sicily from 1292 to 1301?
Cheers
Rob

If you want to be attacking with Amulgvars on both sides of the knights you really need 4 BGs of them and that doesnt leave much for the rest of the army (assuming you want a real knight force). The only time my Catalan ally has come unstuck is either when the two BGs dont work in tandem or when theyve been caught fighting at disadvantage in the open.Robert241167 wrote:Thanks Kev, have looked at Latin Greece and didn't fancy the almughavars as an ally as they could only be in one part of the table, I fancied the option to spread them around a bit.

If you really wnat protected flanks take the catalans for one wing (whichever has more terrain) and put undrilled protected defensive spear on the other to anchor off.
It is nice to have them internal for other reasons though (no dependance of Roger Le Flor - who always tends to get himself killed in my games).
