Any chance of more random initial setups for MP games?

Any chance of more random initial setups for MP games?

I know it may be tough to keep the play balance, but my concern is when someone can destroy a key unit with artillery before you even get a chance to move it, because they already know where that unit is, even though it's supposed to be hidden by the FoW.

In D-Day +3 you can destroy the defender's AT Gun before they get a chance to even move it and that can have a big effect on the rest of the game.

Maybe limiting first turn artillery strikes for the side that gets to move first? Or have the defender move first in each scenario?

That's a good idea - although then you take away any tactical decisions about using your artillery before knowing how the enemy will act. But if there are some very specific units which can swing a battle then I can see how it might be a problem.

for the (currently Beta) randomised forces maps. I'll take a look at DD+3 and see about doing a version of that too.
