looking for measuring sticks or the like...

Post by spud »

I have been looking for measuring sticks that don't cost to much but easy to use. Something like the Flames of War template. or sticks in different lengths. I am in the US and would rather find someplace that had them and didn't cost an arm and a leg to get. I was also looking for someplace state side that had standoffs so I can make the lengths I wanted.

Sorry Spud, not so much of a reply but a similar plea this side of the pond.

Anyone know where I can get a similar set up in the UK other than shelling out a small fortune for brass rod sets?

I don't know what you regard as a small fortune, but this is one option:

They are a bit more fiddly than a full set of solid sticks, but you could buy 2 sets for less than a solid set.

Why not just cut thin pieces of wood to the correct lengths?
It takes a few minutes, and costs next to nothing.

Or plastic rod from a model or craft shop if you can't fins suitably small dowling as per previous post.

I made mine from coffee stirrers - the flat wooden ones you get in overpriced High Street coffee shops

Luckily, they also do them in my works canteen...
