Movement Bug

It seems that the game correct highlights the hexes you can move to with double moves, but it won't allow me to get to the top left hex. Presumably because I'm passing through the cavalry (which shouldn't affect the movement).

Correct me if Im wrong Morbio, but those two hexes that you want to move too will put you within 5 hexes of an enemy unit (whether its the light one up north barely seen or the bow cavalry close to the south part of the map. The additional move would be denied because of their proximity. I think its more a display bug , not a mechanic bug (ie the game should not highlight those hexes but it does, but you should not be able to go there regardess,)

Actually, does the game let you move to the hex just beyond the cavalry unit you are passing thru (where the move arrow stops) because I dont think you should be allowed to go there either.... hmmmmm....

You may be correct about the display bug instead of movement bug. I think it did allow me to go to the one immediately below the top left, because the dark grey arrow goes to it, whereas it wouldn't got to the top left.

Is it not 4 hexes, not 5?
My theory based on the odd movement path is that the hex behind the cav you are passing through is wood (or any rough) but not displayed as such.
Hence the path that goes around that hex, so to speak.
Can that be a possible display bug?

Hey Hidde, its 4 hexes between BG side 1 vs BG side 2 NOT counting either hex either unit is in. Interestingly , a unit that started with 4 hexes betweem itself and an enemy can double move AWAY from that unit ( as long as it keeps its final destination 4 hexes away(between) an enemy bg , however a unit that starts with 3 hexes in between an enemy BG is denied double move altogther (used the scenario editor to play around ) Kinda confusing!

I have seen the phenom that Morbio so easily put togther with his camera :wink: before occasionally. So i think in the pic its just a graphic issue, Morbios cavalry should not be allowed in the last highlighted hex, but should be allowed in the second last with the arrow in it.
