The battle between the valiant lowland Gauls and their somewhat barbaric cousins across the Pyrennes, has begun with the Gauls trapping some outlying Celtiberian skirmishers. Methinks it's a sneaky Spanish ploy to draw my Gauls forward into battle with the numerically superior foe. Well the best form of defense is.....

I am currently having computer problems with my computer hanging repeatedly. Due to this I'm not sure when I will be able to get in moves for my Cup game with CheAhn or in other current games.

An arm wrestle until now with the lead swapping many times. Turn 7 of this Pergamene civil war has just concluded with the ROW taking the lead 42/67 to 53/65. A balanced and fair map with good variety of terrain.

Early progress Gauls 0/65 vs Celts 15/85 - I've got the better of the initial skirmishing, but the bulk of the units are about to crash into each other.

Celtiberian vs Celtiberian

Post by ericdoman1 »

The game has begun.

We are playing on the map where there are fields and trees in opposite corners. Both of us have gone (I think) with the Iberian ally. I had been umming and arring about the use of the Lusitanian ally and it may well have been a good idea.

Just skirmishing at the moment so nothing much to report. Although never has there been a game with so many Celts on the same battlefield. So L, we have a record, again, I think.

It is going to be bit cagey though.

ROW dice triumph over NA ones! (At least it certainly felt that way.) Seemed like an even battle with similar armies and that the better dice took it. Thanks for the game.

The Attalid Pergamene vs Spartacus Slave Revolt has begun in the Hannibal vs Pyrrhus match, but no contact yet.

I must say I was pleasantly surpised by the battlefield. An open 'very crowded' battlefield was chosen (I hate to think how open the others must have been), the only downside is that it seems that the slaves are going to sit on their hill and hide in the woods that are on their side.

I somehow think this may well be a draw.

It's getting near the end to this battle the Gauls are ahead 36/65 to 71/85. But there's disrupted and fragmented troops everywhere.

A win to the ROW - Massina_nz (lowland Gauls) 52/65 defeated deadtorius (Celtiberians) 87/85 - thank god I got a good start as my troops began to lose steam at the end.

Alas the Spanish dice only started cooperating at the end when it was too late, thank you Massina for a truly huge and epic game. Well played. :)
