Commanded Shot

Post by petedalby »

Apologies if this has been raised before.

My cav BG charges an enemy cav BG. He overlaps me on my left. After the impact I move a commanded shot BG next to my Cav so that the bases are in side edge and corner to corner contact on the cav base's rear corner - so my shot are 10mm away from the enemy overlap and providing Protection to my Cav.

1 - is this legal? I can't see why it's not but my opponent didn't like it.

2 - Does the shot have to be Steady to confer protection on the Cavalry Base?

3 - What if the shot becomes Fragmented? Does it still protect the Cavalry Base?

I couldn't find anything to say that the Commanded Shot have to be Steady - but I may not have looked in the right place?

Cheers

It seems to me that it is legal - although it hadn't occurred to me (or your opponent)

No

Yes.

Excellent - thanks Richard.

I'm surprised this hasn't been seen before - but it is a very similar mechanism to the one we had in DBR.

And presumably the Shot can still shoot, providing they have a target?

I believe so - and they can be shot at with normal factors as they are not in overlap. That's how I came to be fragged. :(

Pete

I like it. Thought never occurred to me but I really can see it's uses.
