Commanded Shot as part of a Division

Post by petedalby »

Page 43 shows a very clear picture of what constitutes a Division.

My question relates to that picture:

If BG C were within 4 MU of BG X, could I declare just those 2 BGs as the Divsion?

Cheers

It would appear so - although this would only be geometrically possible if D was in single base wide column.

Mildly cheesy, but probably not worth the extra rules required to unambiguously prevent it.

That's a slight concern....I've posted 2 rules queries and both have attracted the 'cheese' label.

But this one struck me as a way to move most of the foot 5MU without marching the mounted. Doesn't really work with TCs but definite scope for FCs & GCs.

I'll keep the rest of my tricks up for sleeve for now. :)

Far be it from me to suggest that you would do anything cheesy Pete. Let's just call it "pushing the envelope".

A far nicer expression all round!

Now....what can I do with those Ottomans?

Pete

The rest of us would rather you shared these with us so that we don't get surprised when you exercise the envelope push - assuming we fail in our plan to schedule all BHGS events when you can't make it :)
