Evading to the rear

Post by RobKhan »

I think that either my colleagues or myself or both don't have a correct understanding of evading, so here is a question to help us or me or both clarifiy the issue.

When describing the second choice for the evading direction (page 66, 1st column, second dot point) it says the evader can "...evade directly to their own rear." This phrasing is consistently used for this choice.

Does this mean to the rear of the BG after the 180 degree turn, or does it mean to the BG's own rear table edge?

Yes we do understand that this only applies if there is no flank or rear charge on the BG under consideration.

TIA and happy die rolls

The first one Rob.

The BG basically turns 180 degrees and goes straight ahead with no wheeling.

Battle groups own rear. So they turn 180 and bugger off.
