End scenario screens

Post by Kerensky »

I sort of like them. However I think it may be a little buggy.

Sometimes it looks like this: Which is fine.

However occasionally it looks like this in ALL CAPS, which is strange and honestly kinda ugly.

And I'm glad to see the Allies have their own text... but to me this doesn't say Allied Victory. It says 2lllied Uictocy.

Probably this bug is related to the fact that outcome names are stored in saved files, so even though I renamed them from all capital ("DECISIVE VICTORY") to normal ("Decisive Victory") in the new build, loading old saves would still use old names.

If there is some other reason for this behavior, this might be a bug which needs fixing.

BTW, on your screenshots the image is not aligned to center, but is stuck to the left. This should not be the case. :?

Yea, I noticed this always happened on loaded saves, but doesn't seem to occur on new saves.

And the alignment actually is because I cropped the image. Full screen was so big you(or some other forum mod) re-sized my pictures a long time ago, and since then I've cropped my images if I use embed code.

BTW, while we are on the topic of end screens, is the font used ok with everybody? I find it a bit difficult to read even in small letters version. What do you guys think?

When choosing your fonts make sure you select somethign that comes as standard for windows XP/Vista/7. There may be fonts you have locally that are not standard and if it cant find teh font it will substituate in another that will have a different size and spacing and basically look wrong.
