Hi,
I have bought Commander - Europe at war yesterday and I have read a lot of helps and about mods.
I will try the editor in the next days.
But, have someone made a mod with countries and border of 1914? (But with WWII units of course)
Is it possible to change the border lines in the editor?

In the message_eng.txt script are the names for the displayed names of countries

my ww1 personal project (beta) -- cancelled
hi, im modding the game for have a ww1 style and i think is good if dont search a total realism...
i edited the map so i have a ww1 map in 1914, and i changed the unit icons so you can buy a mark 1 and if you have labs could finish with mark v* for example...
i have some problems with the events 'cause i dont know how edit them and then i cant do the russian revolution for example...
but i did the allies (and "Central Powers") "DoWs" so at first only russian is fighting but (in summer? i dont remember) belgium join them, later uk and france...etc
for usa i choose the historical date because (again the events) i dont know how do a submarine effect for his decission...
and how can i block the tanks to germany?
in 1914 with A7Vs!!!!....if i cant block the units production maybe i change the first tanks with artillery...(i only can edit for -1 in labs
)

I would suggest armor starts as weak cavalry (including icon images), and changes to armour at tech level 4 or so. That way you could have the Allies get tanks long before Germany if you wanted just by increasing their at-start armour (AKA cavalry) tech level. I uploaded the file to megaupload and Slitherine have informed .... by the way, notice here I sent the 1.0 version, and I have the 1.1 .... the difference is the file General.txt beginning in 1914, otherwise resources do not add up ....

Same here! Im hooked on it, Shame this game is overlooked by many gamers for overcomplicated and overrated games such as Hearts of Iron. Despite the fact that im a history buff and im also an editor on wikipedia and part of the history project , i found it awkward and hard to use.
Im downloading the editor now if i can see how it works , i may be able to make a ww1 mod, im not that great with coding and things though.
