It raises the interesting point that we should probably add - troops fighting a BG causing disorder as a top priority item in the list. This would force the dice reduction to come from the Kn vs the camels and make is 6-3/1-1/1-1/6-3 overall.
As the owner of the offending camels, I would like to add my two pence worth. Thanks, I follow how it's done now, this does mean that the "perfect" use of the Cm is to fight the seam between two enemy BGs here as it means the Kn can only get 1 dice each to fight them purely because of the game mechanism. I think it could be left to the player removing the dice to choose where it comes from, effectively allowing them to choose where to focus their resources as long as each opponent gets at least some dice.
I agree with Simon that the die should be removed from the bases facing the cause of disorder, it makes more sense. Why should the knights at the other end fight less well because their mates are fighting camels somewhere in the distance? It should be those fighting the camels that suffer. I think it should be added as a priority to take the choice away and make it clear cut.
It costs 2 points extra for these troops as camels rather than cavalry. I assume this is because of the ability to disorder - it is certainly not for their efficiency in soft sand, which is not that great!. So to negate that ability by allowing the opponent to not suffer dice loss seems to make it worthless taking the camels in the first place. As it is, fighting them as an overlap has no effect on dice because not enough bases are effected. It is a similar situation with single ranked cavalry that contact only one element of the camels and fight a melee. It all seems a bit inconsistent.
Although straying off the topic slighlty, the other problem with these camels is that they disorder your own cavalry as well. Is this correct? I am puzzled why my Arab cavalry react badly to animals they spend their whole life around and should be used to - at least more used to them than European Knights.
